Sprookjes. Daar is Rosamund Hodge goed in.
Haar eerste boek Cruel Beauty is een “Beauty and the Beast” verhaal en het tweede boek, of liever gezegd novella, plaatst een assepoester in hetzelfde land als waarin Cruel Beauty speelt. Ze heeft al heel wat korte verhalen op haar naam en die kun je op haar website lezen. Daar zitten best wel heel bijzondere verhalen bij. Je zou kunnen zeggen dat de fantasie van Rosamund af en toe wel heel veel overuren maakt. Verwacht overigens niet dat er sexy scenes in het boek voorkomen want Rosamund Hodge is een YA (Young Adult) schrijfster. Ze is zelf ook nog maar net een klein beetje volwassen. Toch nu al zo’n bijzonder boek. Ik voorspel Rosamund Hodge een grote toekomst.
De novella die speelt in het land van Cruel Beauty heet Gilded Ashes en is voor een heel klein bedrag als e-boek verkrijgbaar.
