Een bijzonder boek. Paranormaal maar wel op een zodanige manier dat ook niet-paranormaal lezeressen zullen smullen. Quanie Miller heeft met dit boek iets bijzonders afgeleverd. Eén van de recensies zei dat als Alfred Hitchcock de serie Downton Abbey geschreven zou hebben dan zou dat op dit boek lijken. De woorden creepy en gripping worden veel gebruikt en niemand zegt hoe het afloopt maar dat schijnt helemaal bizar te zijn. En toch is er nog genoeg te lachen want Quanie Miller heeft een geweldig gevoel voor humor.
Adira Collins is een heks. Niet zomaar een heks. Een echte verschrikkelijke slechte nare heks. Hoe verschrikkelijk en slecht, daar gaat de andere hoofdpersoon, Leena Williams, in dit boek achterkomen. Leena Williams is grappig, onafhankelijk en heeft een hele sterke wil. Veel andere vrouwen zouden de strijd tegen Adira Collins snel hebben opgegeven. Leena niet. En ze krijgt heel wat voor haar kiezen in dit boek.
Het verhaal:
