Julie Soto is een nog onbekende auteur. Ook via haar website komen we vrijwel niets over haar te weten. Haar eerste boek is alweer vergeten. Ze is wat bekender in de wereld van Fanfics.
Haar tweede boek daarentegen wordt gezien als een van de beste romans van 2023. Het boek met de titel Forget Me Not staat in menig favorietenlijstje hoog genoteerd. De recensies zijn vrijwel overal zeer lovend. Een roman vol passie, plezier en hartbrekende momenten.
De eerste keer dat ik Forget Me Not tegenkwam was ik bijna direct weer weggezapt vanwege de lelijke cover. Blijkbaar vonden meer mensen dat want het is nu verkrijgbaar onder een wat vrolijker en betere cover (zie boven). Het verhaal gaat over een tweede-kans-liefde. De hoofdpersonen kennen elkaar uit het verleden. Een knappe maar wat knorrige bloemist, die het liefst geen mensen om zich heen heeft en een jonge vrouw met bindingsangst. Krijgen ze een tweede kans? Vast wel. Nu nog wachten op de Nederlandse vertaling.
